A new TV anime based on the popular smartphone game Monster Strike, titled Mera × Death: Shinigami to Boku no Ijou na Koi, will premiere on January 5, 2027, on TOKYO MX and other Japanese TV channels.
The anime’s main staff, promotional video, and key visual have also been revealed.

Monster Strike is a smartphone action RPG where players battle monsters by launching them across the screen. Players can use different monster abilities, take advantage of enemy weaknesses and gimmicks, and team up with friends to take on powerful enemies. The franchise has previously received several anime adaptations, including web anime, theatrical films, and TV anime series.
Mera × Death: Shinigami to Boku no Ijou na Koi follows a coming-of-age story that begins when a boy and a girl meet by fate, leading to an unusual and unforgettable relationship.
