The animated music video for the theme song of Mononoke the Movie: The Phantom in the Rain, “Love Sick” sung by AiNA THE END, has been released. The movie is set to be released in Japan on July 26.

The Mononoke film was revealed during the 15th-anniversary event for the 2007 Mononoke series in June 2022, with an initial aim for release in 2023. Mononoke originates as a spin-off from the 2006 series Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales.

In feudal Japan, evil spirits known as mononoke plague the countryside, leaving a trail of fear in their wake. In order to draw his sword he must understand the Form, Truth and Reason of the mononoke.
