To celebrate Jasmine Day in Japan on June 8, the upcoming anime series Matsurika Kanriden has released two new character visuals. The new artwork highlights the series’ main characters, Matsurika Ko and Hakuyo. The TV anime will start broadcasting in January 2027.

The Matsurika Kanriden light novels have been published since July 2017 under Kadokawa’s B’s-LOG Bunko label, with 18 volumes released. The manga adaptation by Waka Takase has been serialized in Monthly Princess magazine since August 2018.
The story follows a commoner who rises quickly in the Inner Palace thanks to her good memory and a romantic encounter with the Emperor.
