MAPPA EXPO 2026 will celebrate the anime studio’s 15th anniversary from September 16 to December 7 at the Yurakucho Museum in Tokyo. Ahead of the event, MAPPA has revealed two new visuals for Ranma 1/2 and Oblivion Battery.

In addition, the first lineup of exhibition goods featuring the “MAPPA 15th Anniversary Key Visuals” has been revealed. The collection includes items such as clear files, acrylic keychains, stickers, and more.
The Oblivion Battery manga by Eko Mikawa began serialization on Shonen Jump+ in 2018 and currently has 23 volumes in Japan.
The first TV anime season was produced by MAPPA and aired from April to July 2024. Crunchyroll streams the series:
The story follows star pitcher Haruka Kiyomine and catcher Kei Kaname, whose baseball careers take an unexpected turn after Kei loses his memory. The two join a high school baseball team and get another chance to pursue their dreams.
The new Ranma 1/2 anime is also being produced by MAPPA. Konosuke Uda returns as director, with Kimiko Ueno handling series composition, Hiromi Taniguchi designing the characters, and Kaoru Wada composing the music. Netflix describes the story as follows:
Ranma Saotome and Akane Tendo’s parents have arranged for them to get married. However, there’s a problem: whenever Ranma is splashed with cold water, he turns into a girl! The stage is set for a slapstick martial arts rom-com filled with quirky characters!
