Magic Knight Rayearth Anime Announces New Cast Members and Anime Expo 2026 Appearance

Yui Miura directs the new anime at studio E&H Production.

Additional cast members for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of CLAMP‘s Magic Knight Rayearth have been revealed. Acclaimed voice actress Saori Hayami will portray Emeraude, while Yuki Ono joins the cast as Zagato and Mika Kikuchi will voice Mokona. The series is scheduled to premiere in October 2026.

The production has also confirmed its participation in Anime Expo 2026, one of North America’s largest anime conventions. During the event, Episodes 1 and 2 will receive their world premiere screening. Voice actresses Rie Takahashi, who plays Fuu Hououji, and Saori Hayami, the voice of Emeraude, are set to appear as special guests.

Magic Knight Rayearth manga was released in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine from 1993-1996, with a total of six volumes in Japan and English versions. The anime series, directed by Toshihiro Hirano at TMS Entertainment, aired from 1994-1995 with 49 episodes. A three-part OVA was released in 1997.

The original Magic Knight Rayearth anime is still available on Crunchyroll and describes as follows:

Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji aren’t from Cephiro. While on a school field trip to the Tokyo Tower, the three girls’ minds are on anything but different worlds filled with magic and wonder. That is, until Princess Emeraude, the Pillar of Cephiro, cries out for the Magic Knights to save her world–and that just happens to be those three!
