Lycoris Recoil Anime Celebrates 4th Anniversary with New Summer Uniform Illustrations of Chisato and Takina

To celebrate the 4th anniversary of the TV anime Lycoris Recoil, new illustrations featuring Chisato and Takina in a “Summer Uniform ver.” design have been revealed.

In addition, a live-streamed special event is scheduled for August 9. The program will feature voice cast members Chika Anzai and Shion Wakayama, along with guest appearances.

The event will be broadcast live on Aniplex’s official YouTube channel. Fans who apply via a dedicated entry form will also have the chance to attend the venue in person, selected through a lottery system. The application period runs from July 2 until July 19 at 23:59.

Furthermore, merchandise based on the new “Summer Uniform ver.” illustration will be sold at Comic Market 108, held on August 15–16. Additional details regarding the goods will be announced at a later date.

Lycoris Recoil, the original anime, premiered in the Summer 2022 anime season and aired for 13 episodes. It was streamed overseas on Crunchyroll and Bilibili.

In February 2023, a new anime project for Lycoris Recoil was announced. A new original short anime series from the world of Lycoris Recoil, titled Lycoris Recoil: Friends Are Thieves of Time, premiered on April 16, 2025.

For these peaceful days――there’s a secret behind it all. A secret organization that prevents crimes: “DA – Direct Attack”. And their group of all-girl agents: “Lycoris”. This peaceful everyday life is all thanks to these young girls. The elite Chisato Nishikigi is the strongest Lycoris agent of all time. Alongside is Takina Inoue, the talented but mysterious Lycoris. They work together at one of its branches–Café LycoReco. Here, the orders this café takes range from coffee and sweets to childcare, shopping, teaching Japanese to foreign students, etc. It’s mostly tasks unbefitting of Lycoris. The free-spirited and optimistic pacifist, Chisato. And the cool-headed and efficient Takina. The chaotic everyday lives of this mismatched duo begin!
