The character PV and key visual for the new anime KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops, based on Osamu Akimoto’s original manga, have been released. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2027.

Osamu Akimoto’s long-running manga KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1976 to 2016, spanning 201 volumes. The series spawned an anime film in 1985, a TV anime series, two more films (1996–2004), and 27 specials (2005–2016). This year, KochiKame returned for a crossover with Super Psychic Policeman Chojo.

Ryotsu Kankichi, or Ryo-san for short, is an unconventional cop working at the local police station who loves money. Together with famous celebrities like Nakagawa and Reiko, his strict boss Police Chief Ohara, and other wildly unique characters, he gets everyone caught up in all sorts of hijinks!
