JIMOTO SAIKO! Anime Officially Announced, Netflix to Stream Worldwide

Welcome to a world that is as cute as it is terrifying.

The manga JIMOTO SAIKO! is officially getting an anime adaptation. The announcement was made during the MAPPA 15th Anniversary Lineup Reveal event, where the renowned animation studio unveiled several upcoming projects.

Additionally, a music video set to ‘milk’ by singer-songwriter aiko, who is also a fan of the series, was also released.

Usagi’s original JIMOTO SAIKO! manga first gained popularity through serialization on social media, before Saizusha published it in print across eight volumes. The anime’s official website describes the story as a grand, theatrical series about girls who have never left their hometown, yet continue to proudly declare “Jimoto Saiko!” (“My hometown is the best!”) even as they face various hardships.
