The original TV anime « Inherit the Winds » has revealed new cast members. Voice actor Koki Uchiyama will play Toshizo Hijikata, while Yuichi Nakamura will voice Isami Kondo.

The anime is set in Kyoto during the Bakumatsu era. A soldier who has lost his memory is taken under the wing of the renowned Shinsengumi member Sōji Okita. Okita gives him a new identity, naming him Junsuke Tachikawa. Amidst the Mibu soldiers, Junsuke begins a new chapter in his life.
