The TV anime Honoo no Toukyuujo: Dodge Danko is set to air on TOKYO MX, MBS, and BS11 starting this July. A teaser PV and additional cast members have been revealed. The announcement was made today, March 28, at AnimeJapan 2026, held at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo.

The original Hono no Tokyuji: Dodge Danpei was a manga series that ran in Shogakukan’s CoroCoro Comic magazine from 1989 to 1995. It was later adapted into a 47-episode anime series, which aired starting in October 1991. The franchise also inspired several video games.
A sequel manga, titled Dodge Danpei: Dodge Danko, has been published online on the Weekly CoroCoro Comic website since November 2022.
