The main cast, production staff, and teaser visual for the TV anime “Honoo no Toukyuujo: Dodge Danko” have officially been revealed. The series serves as a direct and faithful sequel to the 1990s hit “Honoo no Toukyuuji: Dodge Danpei”. The new anime is scheduled to premiere later this year.

The original Hono no Tokyuji: Dodge Danpei was a manga series that ran in Shogakukan’s CoroCoro Comic magazine from 1989 to 1995. It was later adapted into a 47-episode anime series, which aired starting in October 1991. The franchise also inspired several video games.
A sequel manga, titled Dodge Danpei: Dodge Danko, has been published online on the Weekly CoroCoro Comic website since November 2022.
