Originally written by Atekichi, the story was first published on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in February 2017. It was later picked up by TO Books and released under the TO Bunko label starting in March 2020. A manga adaptation illustrated by Keiko has been serialized on Nico Nico Seiga via Comic Corona since May 2021.
