HAIKYU!! vs. The Little Giant Movie Officially Announced!

The showdown with the "Little Giant" begins!

The highly anticipated sequel, HAIKYU!! vs. The Little Giant, is officially in production! Following Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle, this film brings us to the pinnacle of the series—the Spring High quarterfinals: Karasuno vs. Kamomedai.

Production I.G is once again handling the animation, with Susumu Mitsunaka returning as both director and scriptwriter.

Next up for Shoyo Hinata and his team, who have advanced to the Spring High quarter-finals, is a match against Kamomedai, featuring Korai Hoshiumi. Hoshiumi shares the same nickname as the “Little Giant,” the player Hinata once admired. At last, the key matches from the original story—Karasuno versus Kamomedai and Hinata versus Korai Hoshiumi—take center stage.

Crunchyroll is streaming all four TV anime seasons of the Haikyu!! adaptation and describes the series as follows:

Based off of the original Weekly Shonen Jump manga series from Haruichi Furudate, Haikyu!! is a slice-of-life sports anime revolving around Shoyo Hinata’s love of volleyball. Inspired by a small-statured pro volleyball player, Hinata creates a volleyball team in his last year of middle school. Unfortunately the team is matched up against the “King of the Court” Tobio Kageyama’s team in their first tournament and inevitably lose. After the crushing defeat, Hinata vows to surpass Kageyama After entering high school, Hinata joins the volleyball team only to find that Tobio has also joined.
