SSSS.GRIDMAN, the first project in the shared Gridman Universe, is loosely based on Tsuburaya Productions’ 1993 live-action tokusatsu series, Gridman. Tsuburaya collaborated with Trigger to create the anime series, which later led to the sequel, SSSS.DYNAZENON, airing from April 2 to June 18, 2021.
