The second main promotional video for the TV anime Goodbye, Lara has been released, along with new cast details and information about the opening theme. The series is set to premiere in July and is an original production created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Kinema Citrus.
The opening theme will be performed by Ikimonogakari, with a song titled “Sayonara Lara”, matching the name of the anime. A portion of the track can already be heard in the newly released PV.
It was also announced that a stage event for Goodbye, Lara will take place at the Chapla Stage during the “Chayamachi Oshi Festival 2026,” held in Umeda, Osaka, on June 20. Members of the main cast will appear on stage to share insights and discuss the appeal of the series.

Goodbye, Lara follows the journey of Lara, a mermaid princess in search of “true love.” Two centuries ago, she fell in love with a human prince, but their love remained unfulfilled. Heartbroken, she vanished into a bubble. Now, 200 years later, she is mysteriously reborn as a human in Lake Biwa, Shiga Prefecture, and begins her quest anew.
