The online multiplayer mode Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is being adapted into an anime series, set for release in 2027. The series will be co-produced by Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Sony Music Entertainment, and PlayStation Productions.
The series is directed by Takanobu Mizuno, with composition by Gen Urobuchi (NITRO PLUS). It is produced by KAMIKAZE DOUGA, and the music is provided by Sony Music Entertainment.

Crunchyroll has unveiled Crunchyroll Manga, a dedicated manga app available exclusively to its paid members in North America. This app offers access to a diverse selection of manga, featuring works from both established and emerging Japanese publishers. Set to launch later this year, Crunchyroll Manga will be available in English on iOS and Android devices.

The original Ghost of Tsushima game launched on PlayStation 4 in July 2020, followed by its release on PlayStation 5 in 2021 and on Windows in 2024. Its multiplayer expansion, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, premiered in October 2020. A sequel, titled Ghost of Yōtei, was announced in September 2024 and is set for release in 2025.

The year is 1274. Samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan—until the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima, wreaking havoc and conquering the local population.
