Gege Akutami Launches New Series “Mojuro” After JUJUTSU KAISEN

Gege Akutami and Yuji Iwasaki team up.

The short-term intensive new series Mojuro, written by Gege Akutami and illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki, will debut in Weekly Shonen Jump No. 41 (Shueisha), released on September 8.

Akutami, best known for JUJUTSU KAISEN, collaborates with Iwasaki, who previously handled the artwork for Cypher Academy based on Nishio Ishin’s original story.

For Akutami, Mojuro marks their first new series since the conclusion of JUJUTSU KAISEN in September 2024 in Weekly Shonen Jump, and also their first attempt at creating an entirely original manga.

The opening chapter will span 54 pages, feature color pages at the front, and the series will be showcased on the magazine’s cover.
