The Japanese publisher Shufu to Seikatsusha has announced that the light novel series Fired? But I Maintain All the Software! will receive a TV anime adaptation.
The series is written by Yuki Kashirome with illustrations by Icchi. It first appeared online on Shousetsuka ni Narou between November 2020 and July 2022. It was later published in print by Shufu to Seikatsusha under the PASH! Books label starting in May 2021, with four volumes released so far.
A manga adaptation illustrated by io began serialization in August 2022 on the Comic PASH! website. The fifth novel volume is planned for release in Japan on June 5. The English publisher J-Novel Club also releases both the light novel and manga:
Once the sole engineer maintaining the systems at her company, Ai Sato is laid off without warning one day. (Apparently, the new CEO doesn’t approve of cosplaying at work… Rude!)
