Eureka Seven TV Anime Celebrates 20th Anniversary with New FLOW Song

The official website of Eureka Seven released a special video on March 31 to celebrate the anime’s 20th anniversary. The video features “Never Back Down”, a brand-new song by FLOW, the Japanese rock band that originally performed the series’ first opening theme, “DAYS”.

Originally airing from April 2005 to April 2006, Eureka Seven ran for 50 episodes. The franchise later expanded with multiple projects, including the 2009 film Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN: Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers, set in an alternate universe.

A sequel series, Eureka Seven AO, aired in 2012, followed by the Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution trilogy, released between 2017 and 2021.

Renton is a teenager trapped working as a mechanic in a backwater town. He dreams of joining up with a daredevil group of pilots known as Gekkostate and following in his father’s heroic footsteps. When a mysterious beauty named Eureka shows up asking for a tune up, Renton soon finds himself drawn into a high-flying mecha dogfight that makes him a target of the military.
