Doraemon TV Anime Introduces New Ending Song After 20 Years

From childhood to song.

The long-running TV anime Doraemon, based on Fujiko F. Fujio’s beloved manga, will feature a new ending theme. From the October 4 broadcast, the song “Moshi Monogatari” by singer-songwriter Tani Yuuki will replace the current ending theme, marking the first change since the anime’s 2005 renewal.

Tani Yuuki, a big fan of Doraemon, said, “‘Moshi Monogatari’ is a song that captures the “Doraemon” within me as much as possible. I created it to express the Doraemon world that has been a part of me since childhood.”

Shueisha published the original Doraemon manga, created by Fujiko F. Fujio, from 1969 to 1996. Television anime adaptations of the series have aired in 1973, 1979, and 2005:

Doraemon, a robot cat from the future, is sent back in time with his gadgets to help make Nobita Nobi, a boy without much talent, a better person.
