The 29th feature film in Gosho Aoyama’s Detective Conan franchise has officially been announced. A “Super Special Report” has been released, revealing that Miyuki Sawashiro will voice the film’s lead character, Chihaya Hagiwara.

Chihaya Hagiwara, the white bike platoon leader of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police, has caught fans’ attention. In the video shown at the end of Detective Conan: The Movie – One-eyed Flashback, a motorcycle and a white feather are seen racing down the highway. This has fueled speculation among fans that Chihaya might become the central character in the next theatrical installment.
Gosho Aoyama‘s Detective Conan manga, known as Case Closed in English by Viz Media, debuted in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1994. As of October 2024, the series spans 106 tankōbon volumes. The anime adaptation premiered in 1996, followed by the release of the first anime film in 1997.
