Detective Conan Anime Unveils New Opening Theme Song by B’z

The anime celebrates its 30th anniversary.

The new opening theme for the TV anime Detective Conan, created by Gosho Aoyama, has been announced as “Heaven Knows” by B’z. Starting with the broadcast on January 10, the series will switch to this brand-new opening.

B’z has previously contributed extensively to the Detective Conan franchise, having performed theme songs seven times for the TV series and five times for its theatrical films.

Commenting on their return as opening theme artists for Detective Conan, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026, B’z shared: “Songs connected to Conan stand like signposts along the road we have traveled.”

The son of a world famous mystery writer, Shinichi Kudo, has achieved his own notoriety by assisting the local police as a student detective. He has always been able to solve the most difficult of criminal cases using his wits and power of reason.
