Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Part 1 heads to theaters in Japan in July 18

The Final Battle Ignites.

Aniplex announced today that the first film of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is set to premiere in Japan on July 18. It has been confirmed that the arc will be adapted into a trilogy. Alongside this announcement, a new key visual and a special video have also been revealed.

In June, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced their acquisition of the trilogy of films for a global theatrical release in 2025, excluding Japan and certain Asian territories. At the time of reporting, no additional international release dates had been confirmed.

The event also revealed that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train will be re-released in Japan with a 4K remaster for a five-week run ahead of Infinity Castle‘s debut, with screenings beginning on May 9.

Additionally, the rest of the series will have special screenings, with each arc re-edited in the “Kimetsu Theater” format and released weekly from April 4 until the premiere of Infinity Castle.

Crunchyroll currently streams the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime. Crunchyroll describes the series:

It is the Taisho Period in Japan.

Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.

Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
