The upcoming second season of Dark Gathering has revealed its first horror-themed visual, featuring the terrifying spirit of A Dam inside a dark inspection tunnel.
Created by Kenichi Kondo, Dark Gathering is a supernatural horror manga that has been serialized in Shueisha’s Jump SQ. since 2019. The series has surpassed 3 million copies in circulation.
The story follows Keitaro Gentoga, a university student with strong spiritual abilities, who joins Yayoi Hozuki and his childhood friend Eiko Hozuki to hunt dangerous spirits across Japan.
The first season of the anime aired in July 2023. Season 2 will move the story to Kyoto, beginning with the events of “#34: Journey to the Capital” from Volume 9 of the manga.
