Dark Gathering Anime Gets Second Season, Teaser Visual Released

The horror returns!

The second season of the TV anime Dark Gathering, based on Kenichi Kondo‘s manga, has been confirmed. A teaser visual was also released, depicting Yayoi Hozuki with a piercing gaze staring down at a malevolent spirit.

Based on Kenichi Kondo’s manga, currently serialized in Shueisha’s Jump SQ., Dark Gathering is a thrilling “evil-spirit hunting” series that has sold over 2.5 million copies. Season 2 is set in Kyoto, where even darker and more sinister spirits are waiting.

Keitaro is ready to leave his shut-in life behind. He’s starting university, reconnecting with a childhood friend, and taking on a tutoring job. He thinks he’s done with ghosts—until he discovers that the elementary schooler he’s tutoring is an occult prodigy, obsessed with hunting dangerous spirits. Her ultimate goal? To track down the one that took her mother.
