Crunchyroll will launch Ani-May 2026, a month-long global event running throughout May. The campaign will celebrate anime across streaming, gaming, retail, and live events worldwide.
The event starts early with Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc streaming on April 30, followed by the theatrical release of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Tears of the Azure Sea on May 1 in selected regions.

Online Events, Streams, and Creator Content
Ani-May will feature several digital activities, including:
- Weekly anime watch parties on YouTube
- A 7-day anime marathon on Twitch
- Anime Awards-related content on TikTok
Creators and celebrities like The Weeknd, Winston Duke, and RZA will appear in special content, along with other guest streams and fan-driven videos.
Crunchyroll Discounts, Store Offers, and Gaming Collabs
Crunchyroll will offer limited-time discounts on Fan and Mega Fan subscriptions, including access to the Crunchyroll Game Vault.
The Crunchyroll Store will also launch special promotions, exclusive merchandise, and bonuses featuring its mascot, Hime.
In gaming, Forza Horizon 6 will include a special reward for Crunchyroll subscribers: a Car Voucher usable in the in-game Autoshow. The game releases May 19, with early access on May 15.
Ambassadors and Global Events
Ani-May 2026 will include ambassadors REI AMI, Big Sean, and Noah Lyles, who will help promote the event through playlists, cosplay, and other content.
Physical events will take place worldwide:
- North America: Hot Topic, Bandai’s Tamashii Nations, fan events, screenings
- Europe: installations like London’s Outernet and MCM Comic Con
- Latin America & Asia-Pacific: conventions, retail events, and public activations
