CREEPY NUTS Complete First North American Tour After Coachella Breakthrough

From Coachella to Mexico City!

CREEPY NUTS, the Japanese hip-hop duo, have completed their first North American headline tour after two major performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2026.

They performed as the closing act on the Gobi Stage during both weekends of Coachella (April 10 and April 17). Their energetic sets featured popular songs like “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” and “Otonoke”, performed entirely in Japanese. Their first show was even named one of the “10 Best Performances of Coachella Day 1” by Billboard.

Between the two festival weekends, they played their first North American headline concerts in New York and Chicago. Both shows attracted strong audience reactions, with many fans singing along in Japanese.

During their second Coachella weekend set, they premiered a new song called “Fright”, released on April 10. The track, written for a Japanese TV drama, explores themes of fear and moving forward.

The tour ended on April 19 in Mexico City, where the final show brought the run to a successful close.

CREEPY NUTS are continuing to grow internationally. Their hit “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” has surpassed 900 million streams and entered the Billboard Global 200 Top 10. Both it and “Otonoke” received Gold certification in the United States, a first for Japanese-language songs by a Japanese act.

After headlining Tokyo Dome in 2025 and touring Asia, their Coachella debut and North American tour mark a major step in their global expansion.

About CREEPY NUTS:
Creepy Nuts is a hip-hop unit consisting of rapper R-Shitei, a three-time consecutive champion of Japan’s premier rap battle competition, and DJ Matsunaga, winner of the DMC World DJ Championship 2019. Their 2024 release “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” became a global hit, surpassing 900 million streams worldwide. Along with subsequent releases “Otonoke” and “Mirage,” they made history by becoming the first act to occupy the entire Top 3 of the Billboard Global Japan Songs Excl. Japan chart. In July 2024, they released “Illusion (Creepy Nuts Remix)” in collaboration with Dua Lipa, marking a major international collaboration.

At the core of Creepy Nuts is live performance. In February 2025, they headlined Tokyo Dome for the first time, drawing approximately 50,000 fans. That October, they embarked on their first Asia tour across five cities, deepening their regional presence. In 2026, they made their debut at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival — closing the Gobi Stage on their first appearance — and launched their first North American tour, marking a decisive step into the Western live market.
