The Chinese animated film The Umbrella Fairy is getting a theatrical release in Japan on June 19. A new Japanese-language trailer has been released ahead of the premiere.

Originally directed by Shen Jie, the film first opened in mainland China in July 2024. It is based on the Chinese donghua The Umbrella Fairy: Dream Talk, created by Zuo Xiaoling and Wei Ying.
The animation was produced by Gudong Animation Studio. After its release in China, the film was shown at several international festivals, including the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, the Sitges Film Festival in Spain, and a film festival in Japan.
