The theatrical anime “Chiikawa the Movie: The Secret of Mermaid Island“, based on Nagano’s original manga, has revealed new casting details along with a 90-second teaser. Tsugio Mogami will voice Shimajirou, while Minori Suzuki joins the cast as Siren.
In addition, the opening theme has been confirmed as a brand-new song titled “Kutsuzure,” written by Nagano and performed by Hachiware (voiced by Makoto Tanaka). The film is scheduled to premiere in Japan on July 24.
