New episodes of Butt Detective will air on NHK E-TV starting April 4. A main visual, trailer, and new cast members have been revealed, introducing two new characters.

The spin-off manga Oshiri Dandy the Young, launched in 2020 in Saikyō Jump, is based on an original concept by Troll, with story and composition by Robinson Haruhara. Volume 11 released in November 2025, with volume 12 set for March 26.
The anime first aired in May 2018 and has been broadcast regularly since December 2018. The latest new episodes debuted in October 2025. A third film, Butt Detective the Movie: Star and Moon, premiered in Japan in March 2025.
Butt Detective is a quirky series born out of a playful concept and has expanded into multiple formats, including apps, picture books, readers, anime, and films. Its central character, a famous detective with a face shaped like buttocks, takes on a wide range of cases.
