Anime Expo 2026 unveiled a wide range of exciting announcements spanning anime films, TV series, and new adaptations. If you missed the event, don’t worry we’ve compiled a complete recap to bring you up to speed. The event took place in Los Angeles from July 2 to July 5.
ELECEED
Junya Enoki has been cast as Yu Kazahaya, the protagonist of the upcoming TV anime ELECEED, based on the hit webtoon by Jeho Son and ZHENA. The first main promotional video has also been released, revealing the anime’s main cast.
ELECEED anime is scheduled to premiere in early 2027.

The Elusive Samurai Season 2
The Elusive Samurai Season 2 will officially premiere on July 17, according to an announcement made during the Aniplex of America Industry Panel at Anime Expo 2026. Crunchyroll will stream the new season.
MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES Season 3
The anime MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES Season 3, titled “The Tri-Magicathlon Divine Visionary Final Exam Arc”, is set to premiere in January 2027. The first trailer for the new season was revealed during Anime Expo 2026, giving fans an early look at what’s coming next in the story.

Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi
The official trailer and key visual for “Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi” have been released. All episodes will be available to stream exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu beginning August 5.

STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
Warner Bros. Japan announced at its Anime Expo panel that the “second stage” of the STEEL BALL RUN: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime will begin on September 25.
New episodes will be released weekly on Fridays. In total, the second and third stages will include 11 episodes. The company also revealed an English trailer during the panel.

Here U Are
Crunchyroll announced during its Showcase panel that an anime adaptation of the webcomic Here U Are by D JUN is officially in production. A teaser trailer and visual were also revealed, and Crunchyroll confirmed it will stream the series when it premieres.

Fate Rewinder
Futa Kimura’s acclaimed manga “Fate Rewinder” is coming to Crunchyroll in April 2027.
The series will be directed by Rie Matsumoto, known for “Blood Blockade Battlefront“, and produced by Bones Film, in collaboration with STORY inc., the production company behind Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume.

The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn’t a Guy At All
The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn’t a Guy at All anime officially revealed its first teaser trailer and key visual during the Crunchyroll Showcase panel at Anime Expo 2026. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2027, with Crunchyroll set to stream the series worldwide.
The anime’s opening theme will feature “Breed” by Nirvana.

Solo Leveling -Beyond the System- Anime Movie
A new chapter of the Solo Leveling anime has officially been announced. During the Crunchyroll Showcase at Anime Expo 2026, Solo Leveling -Beyond the System- was revealed as a theatrical anime movie.
The film will continue Sung Jinwoo’s journey, picking up after the events of Solo Leveling Season 2 and adapting the next part of the story.
The announcement was accompanied by a teaser key visual and a concept video, offering fans a first look at what’s next for the S-Rank Hunter.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Anime
At Anime Expo 2026, new character art for Ghost of Tsushima: Legends anime was unveiled, offering a first look at the visual style of this highly anticipated adaptation.
The series will be co-produced by Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Sony Music Entertainment, and PlayStation Productions.
Witch Hat Atelier Season 2
The “Super Teaser PV” for the second season of the TV anime Witch Hat Atelier, adapted from Kamome Shirahama’s original manga, has been released.
The promotional video was unveiled today, July 4 (Japan time), during the Witch Hat Atelier panel held at Anime Expo 2026, currently taking place in Los Angeles, USA.
Crunchyroll has also confirmed that it will stream Season 2 worldwide, excluding Asia.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle first movie will begin streaming on Crunchyroll on July 28, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. PT. The film will be available with multiple subtitle and dub options, though availability may vary depending on the region.
Magical Buffs: The Support Caster is Stronger Than He Realized!
The TV anime “Magical Buffs: The Support Caster is Stronger Than He Realized!“, adapted from the original work by Haka Tokura and Shin Arakawa, is scheduled to premiere on Crunchyroll in January 2027. The first promotional video also introduces a range of distinctive characters.

Gacha Girls Corps
The teaser PV for the TV anime “Gacha Girls Corps” has been released. The series is directed by Takashi Asami and is being produced by studios ZERO-G and Saber Works. It is scheduled to premiere in January 2027 and will stream on Crunchyroll.

Dengeki Daisy
The teaser promotional video for the upcoming TV anime Dengeki Daisy, adapted from the original work by Kyousuke Motomi, has been officially released.
It has also been announced that Yoshino Aoyama will voice Teru Kurebayashi, while Taku Yashiro will play Tasuku Kurosaki. The series is set to premiere in 2027 and will be available on Crunchyroll.

A new trailer for the upcoming OVERGEARED TV anime was shown during the Crunchyroll Showcase at Anime Expo 2026. The series is scheduled for October 2026 on Crunchyroll.

The Vermilion Mask
The upcoming anime The Vermilion Mask has unveiled its first promotional video along with the main Japanese voice cast. The series is scheduled to stream on Crunchyroll in October 2026 and will run as a split two-cour broadcast.
The PV shows Peru d’Arrest, a mask craftsman tormented by his past, vowing to destroy the cursed masks created by his former master. His journey begins amid intense battles and a fate he cannot escape.

MURCIÉLAGO
At Anime Expo 2026, it was officially announced that the manga MURCIÉLAGO will receive a TV anime adaptation scheduled for 2027. To celebrate the announcement, a teaser PV, key visual, and a special illustration from the creator were revealed.
The anime will stream exclusively on HIDIVE in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand as part of its 2027 lineup.

Jurassic Shadows
A new original anime titled Jurassic Shadows has been announced, with director Norihiro Naganuma, known for The Apothecary Diaries, leading the project. The anime has also revealed its main staff, a promotional video, and concept visual.
Jurassic Shadows is described as an action series that mixes dinosaurs, ninjas, and the modern element of “kesho” (make-up), creating a unique and stylized world.

Delicious in Dungeon Season 2
Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 is officially scheduled to arrive in October 2027, exclusively on Netflix. The announcement was made during Anime Expo 2026 at the TRIGGER studio panel, where the first key visual for the new season was also revealed.
Devils’ Crest
The upcoming anime Devils’ Crest will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on November 6. Alongside the streaming announcement, the production team unveiled a wave of new information, including additional cast members, the opening theme artist, a brand-new key visual, and the anime’s first promotional video.
The opening theme has been confirmed as “Shinka,” a brand-new song performed by Ado.
To celebrate the announcement, the staff also released a special 15-Second Challenge Video featuring Ado introducing the theme song and highlighting its appeal in just 15 seconds. The clip was previously showcased during Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles.

A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special Season 2
A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special Season 2 is set to premiere this October on Crunchyroll. It was also announced during Anime Expo 2026 that krage will perform the ending theme song, titled “Everlasting.”
Fist of the North Star: HOKUTO NO KEN
A “2nd Cour Broadcast Commemorative Visual” has been released for the anime Fist of the North Star: HOKUTO NO KEN, based on the original work by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara. The second cour is scheduled to begin airing and streaming in 2027.
The visual was unveiled during the “Warner Bros. Japan Anime Production 15th Anniversary Panel” held at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles, USA.
Witch Hat Atelier x Ascendance of a Bookworm
A collaboration promotional video featuring the TV anime Witch Hat Atelier (based on Kamome Shirahama’s original manga) and the TV anime Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke has been released.
The collaboration PV was first unveiled during a joint stage panel for both series held at the ongoing Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles, United States.

Black Clover New Season
The main promotional video for the TV anime Black Clover Season 2, adapted from Yūki Tabata’s original manga, has been released. It has also been announced that the opening theme will be WANIMA’s “Kienai Riyū”.
It is currently scheduled to premiere in October 2026. The series will also be available for streaming on Crunchyroll.

RE:BEL ROBOTICA
The original anime RE:BEL ROBOTICA is officially set to premiere in 2027, with its first teaser visual and teaser trailer now unveiled. The series will be animated by SILVER LINK.
Acclaimed composer Yuki Kajiura, best known for her work on Sword Art Online, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica, is in charge of the anime’s theme and insert songs. The newly released teaser trailer also offers fans a first preview of one of Kajiura’s insert tracks.

Studio TRIGGER Announces New Project from Hiroyuki Imaishi and Kazuki Nakashima
Studio TRIGGER has officially announced that director Hiroyuki Imaishi and screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima are working together on their fourth project. At this time, no title, release window, or additional details have been revealed. The studio has only confirmed that the new collaboration is currently in development.
