Studio Colorido’s My Oni Girl Releases 1st Trailer and New Key Visual!

Hiiragi and Tsumugi against the world!

Netflix has revealed a first trailer and new key visual for Studio Colorido’s My Oni Girl, which will be released on the streaming platform on May 24! The trailer features a sneak peek of the Zutomayo theme song titled “Truth in Lies.”

This is the story of how Hiiragi Yatsuse, a high-school student struggling to make friends, meets Tsumugi, an oni girl searching for her mother in the human world.

The long-awaited fourth feature-length film and latest work from Studio Colorido. This film will be directed by Tomotaka Shibayama, who, after working for Studio Ghibli, has participated in many TV commercials and film works at Studio Colorido, where he made his feature-length directorial debut, “A Whisker Away“.

Yearning to get along with others and not be disliked, first-year high school student Hiiragi finds himself unable to say no whenever someone requests something of him. One summer day, while unsuccessfully carrying out yet another request, he encounters an oni girl named Tsumugi, who has come to the human world to search for her mother. She does whatever she pleases and is the complete opposite of Hiiragi. Studio Colorido presents this fantasy tale of youth that unfolds over one wintery summer.
