Goodbye, Dragon Life Anime Officially Announced for 2024!

The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation by Kurono!

Hiroaki Nagashima’s novel “Goodbye, Dragon Life” will be adapted into a TV anime in 2024. A teaser trailer and a teaser visual have been released.

The light novel series, illustrated by Kisuke Ichimaru, has been serialized by Alphapolis since 2015, boasting 23 volumes as of December 2023. This series originated as a web novel on the platform Shousetsuka ni Narou. Additionally, it has inspired a manga adaptation by Kurono.

After living a long life as the strongest and oldest dragon, he is slain by a human hero. He awakes to find himself reborn as a human, Dolan, in a remote village. He works hard as a farmer and sometimes hunts for food. His life is simple in this small village, but he is surrounded by love. He soon finds happiness he’d never experienced in his life as a dragon. However, dangerous monsters are lurking around his village lately and he goes to the woods to investigate when he finds out an army of monsters are heading his way…
