Obocchama-kun REBORN, a new TV anime adaptation of Yoshinori Kobayashi’s gag manga Obocchama-kun, has been announced for broadcast in Japan in 2027 on TV Asahi. A teaser trailer for the Japanese broadcast has also been released.

The original Obocchama-kun manga was serialized in Shogakukan’s Monthly CoroCoro Comic from 1986 to 1994, with 24 volumes published. An earlier TV anime adaptation aired in Japan from 1989 to 1992.
The story follows Chama Obo, the spoiled heir to a massive corporation, as he attends an elite school for children from wealthy families.
