The TV anime The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2 will begin airing on October 7. A new visual has also been released to celebrate the anime’s 5th anniversary, featuring the characters dressed in white.
A newly drawn illustration for the first season’s ending theme song “Kodou” has also been revealed. The illustration features Nagisa Natsunagi, voiced by Ayana Taketatsu, from the song’s music video.

The first season of The Detective Is Already Dead aired from July to September 2021 and was adapted from the mystery light novel series written by Nigoju and illustrated by Umibozu.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime’s first season and describes the story as such:
After thwarting a hijacking with beautiful, silver-haired detective Siesta, Kimihiko leads a life of globe-trotting and crime-solving—until Siesta dies. A year later, a new case will open old wounds as it threads murder, conspiracy, and his dead partner!
