The super teaser PV for the new TV anime Oishinbo, based on the manga by Tetsu Kariya and Akira Hanasaki, was revealed during the Studio Shin-Ei Animation 50th Anniversary Stage at ABEMA Anime Festival 2026, held on September 19 and 20.
The original Oishinbo TV anime began airing in 1988 and was produced by Shin-Ei Animation. Shin Oishinbo is a new anime project coming 35 years after the previous series ended.

It was also announced that a new episode of Atashin’chi NEXT, based on the manga by Eiko Kera, is in production. The series, which began in 2024, adapts selected stories from the original manga that were not previously animated.
Taku Kimura, director of the TV anime CHAINSMOKER CAT, will serve as the new director for the upcoming episode.
