The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother has been announced as the first console game based on the popular series. The game will launch in early 2027 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

The game features a brand-new story written by original author Natsu Hyuuga. Players will follow Maomao as she investigates the mysterious Five Mysteries and Five Curses. During her investigation, she encounters a masked man who claims to be the “imperial younger brother,” leading her to uncover a secret that could threaten the imperial court.
Gameplay will focus on investigation and deduction. Players will search for clues, interview witnesses, collect medicinal ingredients, and use the evidence they find to solve mysteries.

The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother will also be featured during Koei Tecmo’s stage event at Tokyo Game Show 2026 on September 20, with voice actors Aoi Yuki (Maomao), Takeo Otsuka (Jinshi), and Yohei Azakami (Guanyu) set to appear.
Meanwhile, The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 is scheduled to premiere in October 2026.
