Newly drawn visual for COWBOY BEBOP: The Movie have been unveiled to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary.
The visual feature new artwork by Toshihiro Kawamoto, the film’s character designer and animation director. The backgrounds were created by art director Atsushi Morikawa, while the main title was designed by Toshiaki Uesugi of Mach 55 Go. Merchandise featuring the new artwork is also in development.
In addition, a 4K remastered version of COWBOY BEBOP: The Movie, fully supervised by director Shinichiro Watanabe, will be screened in theaters across Japan starting October 30.

COWBOY BEBOP: The Movie is set between Episodes 22 and 23 of the original series. The story follows a terrorist plot involving a deadly virus that threatens to wipe out the population of Mars.
The original COWBOY BEBOP anime aired in 1998 and was created by the collective name Hajime Yatate, associated with Sunrise. The series is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll.

The Bebop crew is just trying to make a buck. This motley lot of intergalactic loners teams up to track down fugitives and turn them in for cold hard cash. Spike is a hero whose cool façade hides a dark and deadly past. The pilot Jet is a bruiser of a brute who can’t wait to collect the next bounty. Faye Valentine is a femme fatale prone to breaking hearts and separating fools from their money. Along for the ride are the brilliant, but weird, hacker Ed and a super-genius Welsh Corgi named Ein.
