Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke Anime Celebrates New Cour With 25 Local Dialect Commercials

To celebrate the second cour of the TV anime “Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke“, which premiered on July 11, the main character Rozemyne appeared in 25 different local commercials, each featuring a unique regional dialect from across Japan. The anime series is streaming on Crunchyroll.

The project was created in collaboration with Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV affiliate stations to help fans in each region enjoy the series even more.

During the recording sessions, native dialect speakers from the participating stations supervised the performances to ensure accuracy. Voice actress Yuka Iguchi’s impressive ability to recreate each dialect surprised and impressed fans, earning widespread praise online.

Avid bookworm and college student Motosu Urano ends up dying in an unforeseen accident. This came right after the news that she would finally be able to work as a librarian like she had always dreamed of. When she regained consciousness, she was reborn as Main, the daughter of a poor soldier. She was in the town of Ehrenfest, which had a harsh class system. But as long as she had books, she didn’t really need anything else. However, books were scarce and belonged only to the nobles. But that doesn’t stop her, so she makes a decision… “If there aren’t any books, I’ll just create some.”
