Croatian comic artist Nikola Čižmešija continues his original manga UMBRAL CHAINS, with Chapter 2 scheduled for release on July 1, 2026.
The manga was first published on Manga Plus Creators and GlobalComix. In December 2025, UMBRAL CHAINS received the Silver Award in the Manga Plus Creators competition, earning an official publication of its first chapter on SHUEISHA‘s Manga Plus platform.
Readers can catch up with the series on Manga Plus Creators and GlobalComix before Chapter 2 launches on July 1.

UMBRAL CHAINS is a shonen action horror series that follows three students—Jino, Adam, and Bell—who attend a school dedicated to hunting monsters. Armed with mysterious dark powers, the trio must learn to identify, confront, and eliminate terrifying creatures while uncovering the secrets surrounding their own abilities.
Nikola Čižmešija is best known for his work in American comics, having illustrated titles for DC Comics and IDW Publishing. His credits include Sword of Azrael, Batman: Urban Legends, Batman and Robin, Godzilla: Kai-Sei, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Black, White & Green.
