The official theatrical trailer for SEKIRO: NO DEFEAT has been released. Based on FromSoftware‘s acclaimed action game SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE, the animated film will screen in Japanese theaters for a limited three-week run beginning September 4.
Directed by Kenichi Kutsuna and produced by Qzil.la, the project is fully animated using traditional hand-drawn 2D animation.
Following its theatrical release in Japan, SEKIRO: NO DEFEAT will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll later this year in territories worldwide, excluding Japan, China, South Korea, Russia, and Belarus.
In addition, MoviTicket cards went on sale on June 26 at participating theaters and through the Major Online Shop. Fans who purchase a ticket will receive a limited-edition three-layer clear file featuring the film’s key visual while supplies last.
