The production of an original anime project titled RE:BEL ROBOTICA has officially been announced, with acclaimed illustrator Mika Pikazo serving as both the original creator and character designer.
RE:BEL ROBOTICA is a near-future science fiction project originally launched by Mika Pikazo as a solo work in 2017. In late 2019, screenwriter Ryo Yoshigami, known for his work on the PSYCHO-PASS series, joined the project, leading to the release of Episode #β One Day. The story and illustrations were subsequently published online in installments.
The franchise expanded further in 2022 with a novel adaptation. Two novels, RE:BEL ROBOTICA 0 and RE:BEL ROBOTICA, written by Gakuto Mikumo, were published by Shinchosha.
To celebrate the anime announcement, a special RE:BEL ROBOTICA booklet will be distributed at Anime Expo 2026, one of North America’s largest Japanese anime and pop culture conventions, taking place in Los Angeles from July 2–5. A teaser promotional video featuring footage from the anime currently in production is also scheduled for release.
Mika Pikazo has created a new key visual for the event and is expected to appear at both panel sessions and exhibition booths during Anime Expo 2026.
