Originally launched as a webcomic on Pixiv, The Fake Alchemist was later picked up for serialization on Kadokawa’s KadoComi and Nico Nico Seiga platforms in June 2023. The manga has since been collected into five volumes in Japan.

Yen Press publishes the English edition and describes the story as follows:

“Please help me, Master!”

One young man transported to another world. One young woman taken from home and put up for sale. One way forward: alchemy and a can-do attitude! Life’s tough in a dark fantasy world when you don’t have any combat powers. Life’s tougher when you’re a slave. But together—and with the right doses of analysis and patience—Paracelsus and Nora might just be able to make it work…!
