The TV anime Thunder 3, adapted from the original manga by Yuki Ikeda, premiered on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block on July 8. The series also began exclusive worldwide streaming on Netflix the same day.
Alongside the broadcast, new information was revealed, including the release of a second promotional video and details about the ending theme.
The ending theme has been confirmed as “Shururerira”, performed by singer-songwriter Otoha. A portion of the track can be heard in the newly released second PV.

In addition, it was announced on June 28 that an advance screening of episodes 1 and 2 of Thunder 3 will be held in Shibuya, Tokyo. Attendance will be free, with participants selected via lottery. Details on how to apply will be shared later on the anime’s official website and official X (formerly Twitter) account.

The series began serialization in Monthly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) in 2022 and was nominated for the Next Manga Award 2022. After going on hiatus in February 2025, Thunder 3 is set to resume serialization on February 6. To date, eight volumes have been published in Japan.
An English-language edition of the manga is released by Kodansha USA, which describes the story of the first volume as follows:
Pyontaro is a middle schooler whose little sister, Futaba, simply adores him. One day, he and his buddies—the so-called “Small Three”—decide to watch a weird disc their teacher lent them. Little do the boys realize this disc is linked to another universe…and while they aren’t looking, Futaba gets sucked in! Can Pyontaro and his friends find Futaba? And just what is this other world they’ve discovered?!
