A teaser video has been released for the original animated project “WASTED CHEF“, directed by Takayuki Hirao. A manga adaptation by Aero 05 has also been confirmed. The series will begin serialization in the July issue of Young Ace (KADOKAWA), released on June 4.
Currently in production by the team behind Pompo: The Cinéphile, WASTED CHEF is a feature-length animated film that follows young chefs venturing into a world where taste has been lost.

The teaser shows a brief encounter between a boy and a girl in the rain outside a restaurant marked “THE DAY”. It also features a beautifully rendered hamburger complete with lettuce, tomato, onion, and a juicy meat patty inside a soft bun. The footage ends with the appearance of mysterious structures and unsettling lights filling the sky.
