The TV anime “Recommendation from Mr. Iwamoto” will begin broadcasting on Saturday, July 4. New cast members have been announced, including Gen Sato and Shinnosuke Tokudome. The series is directed by Toshifumi Kawase and produced by the animation studio Studio DEEN.
The opening theme song will be “BUDDING” by THE JET BOY BANGERZ, while the ending theme song will be “Koko ni Iru” by WOLF HOWL HARMONY.

Recommendation from Mr. Iwamoto is a romantic story set in 1910s Japan. Iwamoto Kodo, a student at a military-run junior high school, is tasked with investigating paranormal events across the country and identifying individuals with supernatural abilities for military use. Through his travels, he encounters mysterious phenomena and gifted people, revealing human bonds and the desire to protect others.
Originally published as a one-shot on Shonen Jump+ in March 2020, the series began serialization in Ultra Jump in March 2021.
