Japanese Voice Actor Takahiro Fujiwara Passes Away at 43

Known for My Hero Academia, Bleach and Kingdom.

Takahiro Fujiwara, a voice actor affiliated with Ken Production, passed away on May 14 at the age of 43. The announcement was made through the agency’s official website. According to the statement, the funeral was held privately with close family members, in accordance with the wishes of his relatives.

Originally from Hokkaido and born on July 15, Fujiwara was known for several notable anime roles, including Kurogiri in My Hero Academia, Goichi Shima in Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion Z, and Jerome Guizbatt in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.

He also voiced Guan Chang in Kingdom, though it was announced in August 2025 that he would step down from the role due to health concerns.

Beyond anime, Fujiwara contributed to several dubbed productions, including Serdan in The Last Escape, Captain Machine Gun in Cyborg X, and Crawford in the drama series CSI.
