The original anime series “Goodbye, Lara“, produced by Kinema Citrus, has been officially announced to premiere in Japan on July 5 at 24:30 JST, which corresponds to 12:30 a.m. on July 6.
It was also announced that a stage event for Goodbye, Lara will take place at the Chapla Stage during the “Chayamachi Oshi Festival 2026” held in Umeda, Osaka, on June 20. Members of the main cast will appear on stage to share insights and discuss the appeal of the series.

Goodbye, Lara follows the journey of Lara, a mermaid princess in search of “true love.” Two centuries ago, she fell in love with a human prince, but their love remained unfulfilled. Heartbroken, she vanished into a bubble. Now, 200 years later, she is mysteriously reborn as a human in Lake Biwa, Shiga Prefecture, and begins her quest anew.
