Honkai: Star Rail comes to life in a new animated trailer created in collaboration with MAPPA. The short film, titled “Death in the Afternoon”, offers fans a fresh look at the game’s universe. The trailer is directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa, known for Mob Psycho 100, with character designs by Kayoko Ishikawa.

This reveal comes alongside news about the game’s upcoming Version 4.2 update, titled “So Laughed the Masses”, which launches on April 22. The update celebrates the game’s third anniversary and will include new events, story content, and characters. Honkai: Star Rail is currently available on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android.
