To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the TV anime ODDTAXI, special commemorative illustration have been released by screenwriter Kazuya Konomoto and director Baku Kinoshita.
In addition, anniversary merchandise has been announced, with more details to be revealed at a later date. A one-night-only revival of the web radio show ODDTAXI RADIO has also been confirmed. Originally broadcast during the anime’s airing, the show featured two producers discussing in-depth and niche topics related to the series.
5th Anniversary Visual:
The anime ODDTAXI first aired in April 2021 as an original series. In 2022, the film ODDTAXI in the Woods was released, expanding on the events of the TV series. In 2023, the manga RoOT – Route of OddTaxi – began serialization, exploring events that occurred behind the scenes of the main story. This was followed in 2024 by a live-action drama adaptation of RoOT – Route of OddTaxi –.

The taxi driver Odokawa lives a very mundane life. He has no family, doesn’t really hang out with others, and he’s an oddball who is narrow-minded and doesn’t talk much. The only people he can call his friends are his doctor, Gouriki and his classmate from high school, Kakibana.
All of his patrons seem to be slightly odd themselves. The college student who wants to be noticed online, Kabasawa. A nurse with secrets, Shirakawa. A comedy duo, the Homosapiens… All these mundane conversations somehow lead to a girl who’s gone missing.
